Why it made our lists
Gifts for board game and puzzle fans
A 1000-piece puzzle printed with a bold Dusen Dusen pattern and no picture. For a puzzler who has done every landscape and wants something hard. Not for a first puzzle.
What it is
A 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle from New York design company Areaware, printed with a bold Dusen Dusen textile pattern. Finished size 19.25 x 26.6 inches. Recommended for ages 9 and up.
A 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle printed with a busy, brightly coloured geometric pattern from the textile studio Dusen Dusen. The design is built on colour, movement and contrast rather than a picture, so there is no scene to work from, only shapes and colour blocks. Finished, it makes a rectangle a little over two feet long. Areaware recommends it for ages 9 and up.
