Why it made our lists
Gifts for artists and crafters
A small add-on for someone who already paints with Beam's refills. A handmade pine palette finished with hemp oil and beeswax. It is empty, so it only makes sense if they have paint to fill it.
What it is
An empty handmade pine palette, finished with Canadian hemp oil and beeswax in M'Chigeeng First Nation, sold in 4, 6, 11 or 15 pan sizes or a 6.5 inch circle. The 4-pan size is $10; it is made to be filled with Beam's Paintstones.
An empty wooden watercolour palette carved from pine, with wells sized for Beam Paints' pans. It is sold in several layouts from 4 to 15 pans plus a round version, and you fill it with paints bought separately, then top it up over time with the brand's Paintstones refills. Each is handmade on M'Chigeeng First Nation and finished with Canadian hemp oil and beeswax.
