Why it made our lists
A McLaren W1 replica with a driver minifigure that builds in an evening and then sits on a shelf. Suits a car fan aged nine and up. It is a small set, so it will not last a weekend.
What it is
A buildable replica of the McLaren W1 supercar with a driver minifigure. It builds in an evening and sits well on a shelf.
A small LEGO model of the McLaren W1 supercar, made to celebrate 50 years since McLaren's first Formula 1 title. The build includes a rear wing that adjusts between cruising and racing positions, a rear engine, cockpit, dashboard screen and air intakes. A driver minifigure in McLaren gear comes with a wrench that also helps apply stickers and pull bricks apart. Instructions are also in the LEGO Builder app.
