Gifts for tweensWorth the splurge
A small digital camera in a paper case with no screen, so it shoots like a film snapshot without film costs. Suits a tween who likes taking photos of friends. They cannot review shots on the camera.
For someone who loves the feel of film snapshots but wants digital files and no film costs. There is no screen, so they cannot review shots. Some case designs cost more than the base model.
What it is
A small digital camera housed in a paper case, with no screen and no editing: you choose a case design and shoot. The base version has 4 built-in colour tones; a bundle with a 4-card set gives 20 tones. Several case designs.
A small digital camera with no screen, built to feel like shooting film: you frame the shot, press the shutter and only see the photos later on a computer. It takes 20 MP pictures with four built-in looks (original, black and white, sepia and blue), and optional swappable filter cards add more. Photos move off by USB-C or the SD card. It runs on two rechargeable AAA batteries, which the shop says last for roughly 300 to 500 shots. Video and time-lapse need USB-C power.
