Gifts of Hope: Baby Chicks

What it is

A charitable gift that funds baby chicks plus poultry training for a family, with a focus on income for women and girls. You can email an e-card, print a PDF card or mail a card to the recipient.

A charity gift from Plan International Canada's Gifts of Hope catalogue. The buyer pays for baby chicks for a family in a low-income country; once grown, the hens lay eggs that the family can eat or sell, giving women an income and teaching girls how to keep poultry. Nothing physical is shipped for the recipient to use; it is a donation made in someone's name. At the time of checking, the page showed the gift as matched four times by a donor.
