What it is
Three 30 g tins of first-harvest matcha from Kagoshima, Shizuoka and Uji, from Toronto tea company Pluck. It lets a matcha drinker compare regions side by side.
Three small tins of first flush matcha, the powdered green tea made from the first spring harvest, each from a different Japanese region: Uji, Shizuoka and Kagoshima. Putting them side by side lets the drinker compare how the regions differ in flavour and colour. Matcha is whisked into hot water or milk rather than steeped, so a whisk or frother helps. The set comes in a gift box and is sold as a limited release.
