A porcelain teapot with a polished stainless steel lid lined with felt, which keeps the tea hot for longer. Loose tea goes into the removable stainless infuser; you pour boiling water over it, steep, and lift the infuser out. Sloane suggests warming the pot with hot water first. The porcelain can go in the dishwasher, though hand washing is recommended, and the steel cover must be washed by hand.
