Why it made our lists
Three tins of loose-leaf tea chosen for afternoon tea: jasmine, a house blend and mint. A good pick for a UK host who serves tea. Loose leaf only, so they need a pot or infuser.
Three tins of loose-leaf tea chosen for a British afternoon tea. Suits a mum who likes a proper pot and would try something better than bags. Pair it with the Kinto teapot if she has no infuser.
What it is
Three loose-leaf teas in tins: Jasmine Silver Tip (25g), Rare Afternoon Tea (50g) and Rare Mint Tea (15g), chosen to go with a British afternoon tea.
Three tins of loose leaf tea chosen by the UK firm Rare Tea Company to go with a British afternoon tea: a jasmine-scented silver tip tea, the company's Rare Afternoon Tea blend, and a mint tea. The company says these are the same teas it supplies to hotels. Because they are loose leaf, the recipient needs a teapot with a strainer or an infuser. The tins are small, so this is a tasting set rather than a long supply.
